Good Afternoon Sacred Heart Families,

Welcome to winter, we can certainly tell by the weather we are having that the season is well
upon us. Good news… in seven days we will be having the shortest day and then the days will begin their slow journey to become longer. Indeed it seems like a very short time ago that I was writing the newsletter with the long weekend in the middle and days becoming shorter.

Online Platforms
Again, I ask all parents to be exceptionally vigilant with online platforms as children at
primary school age are not meant to be engaging in them alone and most do not have the
maturity to be able to self-regulate without support from an adult. Please keep an eye on
your child/ren’s interactions on digital platforms.

School Uniform
As the days have been cold and rainy we have seen an increase in unwell community
members. Please ensure that the children have their jackets during these cold days. Some
children are coming in beanies which is great for this weather. I ask that they are dark green
or black to match in with the school uniform.

Events
Grades 3,4,5 and 6 enjoyed a netball skills clinic this week and we have the Grade 6s
venturing out to visit the kindergartens next week and the last week of term.
The Grandparents “Showcase” day is coming up, I know the juniors are really excited about the occasion.
Aboriginal Family Afternoon tea is planned for the 26 th June, Wednesday in the last week of term. We look forward to painting the story of Borun the pelican and Tuc the musk duck on some pavers for around the yarning circle in the bush tucker garden at this occasion.
