Please find below the communication from the Opening the Doors Foundation regarding the application process for this year’s scholarships.

Concession cards

Applicants with a valid their healthcare card or pension concession card will be prioritised. During the application process, families are being prompted to send through concession cards if they have one. At this stage, families can send this to applications@openingthedoors.org.au

In the coming months the application will receive an upgrade which will allow families to upload their concession card onto the application form itself.

If families do not have a concession card they will not miss out, however the processing of their application will likely be delayed until January 2025.

What does the grant cover?

As usual items can include books, uniforms, school camp levies, school shoes, sports shoes, IT items (e.g. computer and calculators), school-related music/sports/arts costs, VET items and levies.

Note that we are allowing only one pair of shoes per applicant this year. 

Opening The Doors Foundation does not pay for school fees.
