Welcome to Term One, we have had a beautiful beginning to Term One. The children are settled in the classrooms and keen to begin their lessons.

Our new STEM teacher Mrs. Maddy Arbuthnot will support Ms. Hobbs with actions and ideas for the sustainability warriors. The students last year looked after the maintenance of composting, they worked on more efficient ways to recycle and keep our rubbish around the school low. They had some time to develop the Bush Tucker Garden.

The Social Justice team will focus on Catholic Social Justice teaching principles. They will learn the reasons behind the work they do. Mrs. Inchincoli will coordinate  the Social Justice Team and is working toward re-introducing Prayer of the Air. 

Mrs. Wilkinson is working as the Wellbeing Teacher this year and will revamp the Student Representative Council. The students who were on the team last year will work with her to develop a meeting schedule and plan of action.

UNIFORM 

It is very pleasing to see so many of our children beautifully attired in the correct school uniform. All students must be in black shoes when they do not have sport. Sport Day for seniors is Wednesday and for Juniors is Monday or Thursday (Greenroom and blueroom Grade One students have Sport on Monday.  Orangeroom and blueroom Grade Two students have sports on Thursday).

If there is any reason why your child is out of uniform for example (you have lost a jumper or have wet shoes) please let the teacher know via a note or an email. 

COMMUNICATION

We are asking that all communication with teachers is via email or phone. Written notes often get lost and teachers are able to revisit the digital message at any time. The teachers are required to respond as soon as practicable in working hours 8:30 am to 4:30pm during the school term. Please do not message on social media platforms. These are designed to communicate the joyous events of the students’ school days.

HATS

Please ensure your child has their own hat. We do not want children to share hats or use a spare. Hats are available at the office for $10
