Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Blessings for the Autumn Season. May it bring blessings to us all.
I would like to give the BIGGEST thanks to all our parent and carer volunteers this week. The team have worked tirelessly this term in setting up fundraising for our school. A few of the things they have organised are The Easter Raffle, (The colouring in competition that has been enthusiastically and positively engaged in), Hot Cross Buns from Bakers Delight and into the future a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.
The funds raised from these and our hot lunches are all tagged for the development of the new oval. Early next term I hope to have a clearer vision for the redevelopment of the property and the smaller jobs that could be funded by our fundraising. The School Advisory Committee (SAC) will have their meeting schedule begin next term and will be involved in considering the order of delivery of these smaller jobs. The smaller jobs will include things like repositioning the playgrounds, installing a “ga ga pit”, getting back to our running track with the new space included in the plan and more. We will be able to communicate the exact items when the Master plan is completed.

THE BLOCK NEXT DOOR - (our new oval)
The Master Plan is under way and while the big picture of the replanning of the school will be a longer process we will be focussing on the development of the oval sooner. The development of the oval will be planned with the ideas of the master plan in mind. I will be able to deliver these plans as they unfold.

UNIFORM
Again I draw your attention to ensuring your students have a school hat every day. Students will not be sharing hats or using spares. The consequence for not having a hat at school is playing in the undercover area at the top part of the school.

CPR for students
Today all the students had the opportunity to learn about what to do in an emergency. The seniors were able to engage CPR using the dummies. The comments I had from the students was exceptionally positive, they enjoyed learning about what to do and asked many questions concerning potential situations where they may need to help.

CAR PARK
Please pay attention to the dropping off and picking up procedures. When dropping off students in the morning please either park in the car park and have the students walk across the crossing or drive to the bottom gate. For safety reasons we cannot have cars parking where the morning flags or beyond to let children out. Parents and Carers who wish to drop and run must drive to the gate at 8:30 and let the children walk up inside the school.
Please do not stop half way through the entrance gate to drop off.
Please keep to the speed signs on the road and in the car park.
Cars must move in and around the car park at walking pace (10kph) as designated by the signs on the road and (5kph) in the car park. Everybody must enter and leave the road slowly.

I wish you all a restful weekend,

God Bless,

Anne-Marie Robb
