Principal Report

Dear Families,

This week we have celebrated the journey of Lent with our Social Justice Team stepping into their role. The first task they took on was the selling of our icy-poles on Tuesday and Thursday.  I thank the school captains who have supported us well in this job up until this week.

The PBS team have started their work and are going through the process of recruiting some other children to assist them. They thought that would be an easy job, however many children from grade 3-6 showed an interest and have put forward their names to help. Each of these children had the opportunity to jot down one or two reasons why they should be chosen. The team started to briefly read the applicants reasons for wanting the position and soon found that it was going to be a challenging decision.

The Sustainability warriors will kick into action soon and we will have more to report in that area.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I ask that all parents be vigilant with their children interacting on social media platforms. Most platforms have an age limit of 13. Please see the attached guide for platform use and maintain close viewing of their interactions.

Parent Teacher Interviews

The Parent Teacher Interviews will be on Tuesday 22nd of March after school, and PSG will be Tuesday 22nd and Friday 25th throughout the day. Information for booking this will be forwarded soon.

We are excited to announce that Parent Teacher Interviews will be available onsite on Tuesday evening for all who are double vaccinated, also phone interviews will be an option for those who would prefer. Gathering in the school is not encouraged.

Gathering as a community

We look forward to being able to gather as a school community more frequently and will be having our school sports day on 21st of March. The restrictions will be much less intrusive and we can’t wait to be together again.

Along with this at the end of the term we plan to have an Easter bonnet parade on our oval and, with the senior children leading us in the Easter Liturgy, The Stations of the Cross. We are hoping to encourage the community to gather with us having tea and coffee and the opportunity to chat.

Blessings that you enjoy the long weekend.

See you all tomorrow.
