Principal Report
Dear Families,
The great excitement in the past two weeks has been the performance production. All the children have been engaged with the many different elements of the performance.
Prop making, designing the interactive back drops, dancing signing, signing and all the discussions around the decisions being made for the class presentations. The play titled “Opportunity” has been written by the students. They have explained it through the introduction read by the Narrators. “It is a story inspired by the opportunities that our community offers. It is inspired by the coming out of COVID lock down, the love we have for our town and the challenges that we have had as children and just in general life.”
COVID and influenza
As the weather warms up we are seeing a little less illness. The government has announced changes with the length of days required to stay at home if you have contracted COVID-19. As yet I have not been informed of this means for schools. This information will be shared as soon as possible.
I continue to extend my thanks to all families for keeping to the RAT testing schedule. This is the best way to identify COVID and help to minimise the spread. At school we have maintained a double cleaning schedule during the day, have air filters in all learning areas and still have the play equipment cleaned between play times. If you have been unwell please allow yourselves and your children the time to recover, we are all in the same situation and to function well in all areas of our lives we need to look after our health.
CAR PARK
We have showcased our new signs around the school. There are a few more going up hopefully over the weekend so keep your eyes open for these. I invite all drivers’ attention to the new speed signs. 10 kms to enter on Wilson St. and 5 km in the car park.
Also, we expect that all children are dropped off and picked up in the car park or down at the gate. No children should be dropped off in front of the flags in the morning and walking back up to the top gate. Drop off through drive through in the morning must be at the bottom gate.
This is essential for the safety of the children
FATHER’S DAY
Thankyou to all the fathers, uncles, grandfathers, brothers and mums who came to support their children this morning. It was lovely to see so many families at the BBQ breakfast. We wish you all the best for the Father’s Day weekend and pray you enjoy the special day with your children.
Please enjoy the blessings of your children over the weekend,
God Bless,
Anne-Marie Robb
