PBS shop

Our PBS shop has been open weekly on Fridays. This shop has lots of fun things that the children can buy with their reward coins. Last year favourite things were a ride in the elevator, free time, art club, cooking and the most prised was lunch with the principal.

All children have to opportunity to earn coins for particular focused behaviour around our expectations Respect, Inclusive and Safe. Earning coins happens when children go over the expected and follow in the steps of Mary MacKillop, caring for each other and “Never seeing a need without doing something about it.”

Currently the school captains are running the PBS shop and will share this position with all leaders throughout the year

UNIFORM

The focus on uniform for black shoes has been well taken up.

For the seniors on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday we expect black shoes to be worn. For juniors Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we expect black shoes to be worn. They can be comfortable, they do not have to be leather, just plain black shoes. We ask that shoes with brand markings not be worn. A white sole is acceptable.

HOT LUNCH FRIDAY

A great big thank you to the group of parents who met and showed interest to action our fund raising this year. Our first focus will be to begin hot lunches once a month run from the school. This will be a traditional “tuck shop” lunch eg pie, sausage roll, hot dog etc. We will potentially need volunteers to help with this. The first lunch date will come out soon.

We have discussed other options for the other Fridays and will deliver a plan of action soon.

The group had great ideas for exciting fund raisers that will benefit families and the school.

CAR PARK

When dropping off students in the morning please either park in the car park and have the students walk across the crossing or drive to the bottom gate.

For safety reasons we cannot have cars parking where the morning flags or beyond to let children out. Parents and Cares who wish to drop and run must drive to the gate at 8:30 and let the children walk up inside the school.

Cars must drive on the road at 10kph as designated by the signs and 5kph in the car park. Everybody must enter and leave the road slowly. Afternoon pick up must be either stationary in the carpark at the top doors, parents must get out of their vehicle to collect their child/ren or to use the drive through children can only enter the vehicle at the bottom gates. Parents are to remain in their vehicles during drive through.

Please do not drop your child/ren off in the driveway across the footpath.

The sink hole will be mended this term. Thank you for your patience here.
