Dear Families
All Saints Day
I would just like to thank the families who shared in our whole school Mass last week for “All Saints Day”. The children show great enthusiasm for the Mass Celebration especially the seniors who are enthusiastic volunteers.
GRADE ¾ Camp
On Monday and Tuesday, the Grade 3/4s will be attending Allamby Camp. The learning focus is from the Personal and Social Capabilities from the Victorian Curriculum. The students will participate in adventure activities such as the giant swing, the flying fox, campfire cooking, bush walking and many more. We ask the students do not bring lollies in bags or electronic devices. But do make sure they have a water bottle, hat and warm jacket for the night walk, sunscreen and insect repellent. The weather is looking to be 26’ on Monday and 24’ on Tuesday. Perfect weather for camp activities but hydration and sunscreen essential.
LITTLE LEARNERS
Our Little learners for next year’s Foundation students begins this week on the 15 th Mrs Larkins will take the students in the library area. We are so excited to start this new group of students. Little Learners commences at 9:00 am and pick up is at 10:45 am. Students need a hat, fruit snack and water bottle. Please come through our temporary office in the fish bowl for sign in.
School uniform
It is great to see most students are wearing the correct school uniform with no brand black shoes please make sure your child has the correct colour shoes. Hats are now compulsory.
Please ensure to send your child with a note (email to teachers) if they are out of uniform, we understand wet socks and muddy shoes and not yet dry jumpers on occasion.
CAR PARK
When dropping off students to the top door parents and carers must park. If you would like to drop off and go quickly please use the bottom drop off zone.
Children cannot be dropped off in front of the flags in the morning and walking back up to the top gate. They cannot be dropped off half way out of the car park on the exit space.
Drop off through drive through in the morning must be at the bottom gate.
This is essential for the safety of the children.
Communicating with teachers
At Sacred Heart we invest in the partnership we have with families. We invite all parents and carers to communicate with teachers about any concern you may have regarding your child’s education. If there is a concern brought to your attention, please let us know so we can work together to improve learning outcomes. Email is an efficient way to communicate.

Absence at school
If your child is unwell for an extended period, we are required to ask for a medical
certificate. If you are taking your child for a holiday or have a family event for any period of time, we must have written notification. This can be via email or the SIMON everywhere app. Attending school is compulsory, and we are required by law to record daily attendances.
See most of you in the new week,
God Bless,

Because of the Melbourne Cup we had a 4 day weekend and came back to school on Wednesday. Hopefully everyone had fun on the weekend! The school week was only 3 days long.
We have been bringing around remembrance day poppies and people have been buying so many of them. Our last day of the poppies will be on Monday, we only have $2 or $5 ones left.

Yet again the grade 6 graduation and day out is very soon! We are all so excited to find out where they are going and what we will be doing.
