Dear Families,
We’ve had a couple of very exciting weeks to begin Term Four.
Andrew Chinn
Butterfly Music is the music of Andrew Chinn and friends. Since 2000 Andrew has been recording Christian music for children (and some for adults too) for use in Religious Education and liturgy. Andrew has an extensive background in Catholic education having taught in Catholic primary schools in Sydney for twenty years.
His company “Butterfly Music” has a mission to provide quality resources to enhance the teaching of Religious Education with a particular emphasis on the Catholic faith, and to create and perform music to enhance the celebration of liturgies in school and parish settings.
Andrew spent the day singing with our students, he created opportunities for all students toperform in a fun and engaging way.
Invent with Intent and The Silent Disco
On Monday this week the Supreme Incursion company came to the school and the children were able to focus on following instructions to create constructed items. They worked in teams and on their own using plastic bricks. After the children were able to celebrate with a silent disco, which was appreciated by all.
School uniform
It is great to see most students are wearing the correct school uniform with no brand black shoes please make sure your child has the correct colour shoes. Hats are now compulsory.
Please ensure to send your child with a note (email to teachers) if they are out of uniform, we understand wet socks and muddy shoes and not yet dry jumpers on occasion. Children should not have nail polish or nails and only two ear piercings in their lobes.
CAR PARK
We are currently working on improving the drop off and pick up drive through. When
dropping off students to the top door parents and carers must park. If you would like to drop off and go quickly please use the bottom drop off zone.
Children cannot be dropped off in front of the school where the bollards are set up in the morning and walking back up to the top gate. They cannot be dropped off halfway out of the car park on the exit space. Drop off through drive through in the morning must be at the bottom gate.
This is essential for the safety of the children
Cent Market
Look out for information about the cent market run by Grade 5 and 6 students which will be Friday 31 st.
Communicating with teachers
At Sacred Heart we invest in the partnership we have with families. We invite all parents and carers to communicate with teachers about any concern you may have regarding your child’s education. If there is a concern brought to your attention, please let us know so we can work together to improve learning outcomes. Email is an efficient way to communicate.

Absence at school
If your child is unwell for an extended period, we are required to ask for a medical
certificate. If you are taking your child for a holiday or have a family event for any period of time, we must have written notification. This can be via email or the SIMON everywhere app. Attending school is compulsory, and we are required by law to record daily attendances.
Please enjoy the blessings of your children over the weekend,
God Bless,
Anne-Marie Robb
