Dear Parents and Carer’s,
Thank you so much for the families who participated in our Mother’s afternoon tea. We had a lovely afternoon after a hectic day. The students enjoyed their first day of a hot food lunch which was delicious and had such generous portions.
During the week we had a Student Representative Council meeting, and while the students had many things to ask, they were happy that we had been able to meet some of their requests. One was the hot food lunch and the other having casual clothes day. We are working with the students on new ideas and great innovations.
This weekend I wish all mothers a pleasant day. I will be celebrating with a little sadness this year after the recent loss of mum, I am so lucky to have beautiful children and grandchildren who are keen to make my day pleasant and full of love.
Blessings to you all
Anne-Marie

Dear Friends,
It is estimated that over 40 million people globally are trapped in slavery or slavery-like conditions – one in four of them a child.
Some of these are trafficked into slavery and others forced to work in appalling conditions for a pittance.
Australian Catholic Religious against Trafficking in Humans (ACRATH) with other organisations, have produced an online Resource Kit to assist us in ensuring our schools, as places of education and where Gospel values are practiced, are free from the stain of modern slavery.
The Resource Kit contains valuable information about Fair Trade chocolate, tea and coffee.
Find it at: https://resourcecem.com/slavery-free-resources/
In his 2015 World Peace Day message, Pope Francis re-iterated the earlier call by Pope Benedict XVI (¶66 Caritas in Veritate)
“…every person ought to have the awareness that ‘purchasing is always a moral - and not simply an economic - act’...”
This coming Saturday - 8th May - we are called to act with the entire community, by promoting Fair Trade and abolishing Modern Slavery.
