Dear Families,
As we move towards the celebration of Easter in our liturgical calendar we look forward to rest and relaxation with families.
During this time when children are socializing online I ask that all parents be vigilant and check social media platforms. Please see the guide below for age allowance on many social media platforms.
I would like to thank our school community for their participation in the school review. This process went well and our feedback has been very positive. The staff will begin to work on a new plan moving forward and as this is developed more information will be shared with the school community.
Thank you to all those how contributed, our students, families and especially the staff for their tireless work in contributing to the learning outcomes of our children.
Thank you to the parents who came and celebrated the Easter Bonnet Parade. Some of the Grade 5/6’s have put together a digital version of the Stations of the Cross. Please look out for this on our Facebook page.
Please note student free days and events for next term are listed.
Please enjoy the blessings of the Easter Season.

Easter celebrations
The Easter celebrations at Sacred Heart School started the morning off at 9:00am. Parents were invited to the school to enjoy a morning tea which was followed with an Easter Hat Parade hosted by both the Senior and Junior classes. At the conclusion of the events the results of the School Easter raffle were announced with many prizes on offer. The children are raising money for a running track around the school.
Students had the opportunity to create their own Easter bonnet at school. The Junior grades created an Easter bonnet with paper plates in class while learning about the true meaning of Lent and Easter. The Seniors created paper mache egg shapes in their STEM class that could be converted into an Easter hat or an Easter basket. The Seniors have been developing the Stations of the Cross and a small group have developed their presentation into a digital production to be shared with the community over the holidays.
FIRST RECONCILIATION CELEBRATION
Sacred Heart Students received the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the Sacred Heart Church last Thursday. The celebration was officiated by Fr James and Fr Vincent. Congratulations to Ima, Helanah and Maddy along with students from Lumen Christi and St Vincents on receiving this holy Sacrament.
Reconciliation is an important Sacrament for Catholics in their journey of faith. Parents shared their own experiences and discussed scripture with them during their preparation. The Sacred Heart church community, families and parents of the children helped support and celebrate with the children on this special day.
