Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS)

At Sacred Heart, we are proud to partner with the Catholic Education Office, Diocese of Sale, in implementing the Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS). This evidence-based strategy supports the development and implementation of:

  • Personal and Social Capabilities in the Victorian Curriculum

  • Child Safe Standards

  • Duty of Care

  • Occupational Health and Safety

WSAPBS is a proactive, school-wide framework that involves working collaboratively with staff, students, and families to establish clear expectations for behaviour and engagement. At Sacred Heart, these expectations are known as RISE.

RISE represents our shared commitment to creating a respectful, inclusive and safe environment. It serves as a foundation for building strong relationships and ensuring that every student and family feels welcomed and valued within our school community.

This whole-school approach actively involves all members of our community—staff, students, families, and partners—to uphold and model our school vision:

"Empowering all learners to achieve their potential in contributing to a flourishing world."

Together, through RISE and WSAPBS, we continue to foster a culture where positive behaviour, wellbeing, and learning can thrive.
